Twilight Touch - September 08

Hi all
Twilight starts up again on Monday 1 September. It is the intro night with the following Monday evenings as the league matches culminating in a finals night on the first Friday in October. If you have previously contacted me but I haven't included your team accept my apologies and let me know asap.

Here are the following teams that have registered as of today. If you want to play please e mail me back today. It will mean I will fit your team in where it should be seeded based on previous results. Changes may then be made to the league structure and will be posted out to teams in the season’s fixtures after Tuesday next week.

Note the two teams marked with a (W) initially registered as women’s teams but as there are only two of them, I have incorporated them into the mixed if that is acceptable to them.

Touch postponed for September the 1st

Bad news regarding the weather. It's coming down heavily in Cardiff (Fairwater) and the the BBC weather reports says its likely to settle in for the night. see for yourself the report i took from the BBC website for Wales...

Headline:

Remaining unsettled with further rain or showers.

Today:

Mainly cloudy with rain and showers spreading from the west. These will clear the north of Wales this afternoon with a drier and brighter end to the day, but rain may turn heavy and persistent further south.

Tonight:

Rain in the south will gradually clear away eastwards, giving a dry end to the night. Remaining largely dry in the north with some clear spells.

Consequently, we will cancel tonight's touch and start next week. I will need to you all to confirm your involvement again as I have received withdrawals from the Beeb and mixed Turbos due to a loack of players. However the Jugs and Balls have entered . This does pose some organisational problems with numbers and I will need to be sure about who is deffinitely in or out before finalsing the season draw. Sadly with the intro night cancellation, it means that I don't have the luxury of seeing who actually turns up on the fun night before creating a league. So I will do one up and send it to you for your comments.

Sorry about tonight's rain. I hope this will be the last wet Monday night we have in September and we will see you again next week.

 

Games are to be played on Front pitches which are now marked out for the winter codes of rugby and football. I would recommend that you were molded sole boots rather than trainers. The back pitches are pretty wet.
